An unpleasant incident recently experienced by one of the international singers, Harry Styles, who was hit by an object thrown from the audience while performing his concert at the Ernst Happel Stadion, Vienna, Austria, on Saturday July 8, 2023 evening local time.
Through a fan recording video that is spread on the internet, it can be seen that the man born in 1994 is engrossed in performing a song in his concert entitled " Love on Tour ". However, it was then seen that a foreign object floated in the air and hit Harry Styles' right eye. The object was clearly visible from the audience area which was under the stage.
Experiencing this shocking incident, Harry Styles winced in pain with a palm that seemed to protect his right eye. The singer even had to stop his performance for a moment. However, until now it is still unknown whether Harry Styles was injured or what object hit the face of the "Adore You" singer.
The incident that happened to him made Harry Styles another musician who was the victim of being hit by objects in the audience during a gig. Previously, there was Bebe Rexha who received three stitches on her face because she was hit by a cellphone thrown at a concert at Pier 17, New York.
Reporting from The New York Post, the perpetrator of the Bebe Rexha case, known as Nicolas Malvagna, was successfully arrested and charged with abuse. Furthermore, singer Pink also experienced the same thing. The difference was that the singer was thrown by a plastic sheet filled with cremation ashes and a lump of cheese from the audience.
Then there was Lil Nas X who was thrown with sex toys to make the "Industry Baby" singer stop his concert in Stockholm. Recently on Wednesday July 5, 2023, rapper Drake also experienced object attacks from the audience. Luckily, the phone throw failed to hit the singer.
Even from the video that was spread on TikTok, Drake didn't seem bothered by shrugging his shoulders indifferently and continuing his performance. Even so, Adele , had raised her voice regarding this incident. In the middle of her concert, Adele threatened to follow anyone who dared to do this to her. He also added that nowadays many people have forgotten manners and ethics.
