The production team for the Korean drama King the Land finally issued a new letter of apology, regarding the previous statement regarding the character of the Arab Prince appearing in their latest episode. Quoting from Soompi on Wednesday July 12, 2023, the Korean drama King the Land aired their 7th and 8th episodes on July 8 and 9. 

In this episode, the character of an Arab prince named Prince Samir (Anupam Tripathi) is featured. Prince Samir in this episode is portrayed as a womanizer who likes to drink with lots of women. Shortly after the episode aired, many viewers protested against the drama King the Land, because the drama does not respect Arab culture, regarding alcoholic beverages. 

They also asked the drama production team to apologize. Responding to this, the King the Land production team said that the emergence of the character Prince Samir did not refer to a particular culture because it was based on a fictional character. Nor do they mean to disrespect Arab culture. However, the production team's statement was deemed insincere, and again invited criticism from netizens.  

Finally, on Wednesday July 12, 2023, the production team for the Korean drama King the Land again issued a new letter of apology. "We would like to express our sincere and deep apologies for causing inconvenience to viewers, regarding our actions that lack respect for other cultures from certain countries," said the production team.

They continued, "We are well aware of our mistake of not understanding the situation, experience, and consideration of other cultures. We will do our best in the future to produce content that can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of where they come from and what culture they belong to." they have."

The production team further conveyed that they would go back to studying the parts of the episode that were deemed to have problems, and would do their best to take appropriate actions to fix them. They also promise to be more careful in the future so that there are no unpleasant experiences for viewers who view their content.
