Kyuhyun is one of the members of Super Junior (besides Eunhyuk and Donghae) who chose not to renew his contract with SM Entertainment. Last month, it was reported that Kyuhyun was being eyed by Yoo Hee Yeol's management, Antenna, to become one of their artists. Now the news has been officially announced by Antenna.

The agency that also oversees Lee Hyori gave their official statement regarding Super Junior's Kyuhyun joining the management. "We recently signed an exclusive contract with Kyuhyun who is active as the main vocalist of Super Junior and an emotional ballad singer, as well as a star on many variety shows," the management said in its official statement.

"We plan to actively support Kyuhyun's activities in various fields, so please support Kyuhyun who is currently starting a new journey!" continued Antenna again. Along with this statement, Antenna also released Kyuhyun's profile video on their official YouTube. In the video, Kyuhyun appeared in a white t-shirt and was warmly welcomed by his new team at Antenna.

Kyuhyun was given a cake, invited into a room already decorated with balloons, and officially wore the yellow Antenna name tag. The At Gwanghwamun singer admitted that he did not expect the welcoming event that was made for him, then thanked the Antenna team for the surprise that was given to him.

Kyuhyun's career at SM Entertainment began with his debut with Super Junior in 2006. Until now, he has had more than 17 years of contract with the management. Kyuhyun chose not to renew his exclusive contract with SM. Kyuhyun is now in the same management with Yoo Jae Suk and other famous South Korean soloists.

Currently Antenna is home to soloists Jung Seung Hwan, Sam Kim, ex LOVELYZ Mijoo, to Lee Hyori. Antenna is a management company founded by musician Yoo Hee Yeol. Kyuhyun's joining with Antenna could open up great opportunities for collaboration between the two as musicians whose careers and work in South Korea have been considered.
