Many of our favorite idols and biases gained stage experience in various ways, even before debuting as idols. Sometimes these experiences come in the form of school plays, busking events, or even competition events. It is through these events that they can show their abilities to the maximum, even before the public knows their names. 

Several K-Pop idols first took the path as dancers. These budding artists can often be found in various videos or photos, confidently performing very interesting choreography. They do this, while the more senior artists stand front and center. 

It is through these moments that these idols can taste the stage before their official debut. They showed from the start that they were filled with charisma from their dancing alone. 1. Kang Daniel


From Wanna One fame to becoming a successful solo singer, Kang Daniel has received a lot of praise for his outstanding performances. However, he certainly had to work hard to get where he was and didn't start out as the main character.

This idol started his dancing journey as a b-boy, and eventually managed to perform with artists such as Cao Lu from Fiestar. With her vast experience, she has earned nothing but respect from the dance community.

2. Chungha


Chungha is one of the best dancers of her generation and many recognize this as a fact. Both as a girl group member and as a solo singer, Chungha has gained a lot of fans among international fans.

But before her historic debut, Chungha once stood on stage as a dancer for the extraordinary vocal group Ulala Session in the show "Immoral Songs" on KBS in 2013. 

3. Wonho


Wonho has captured the hearts of millions with his incredible stage presence and charming personality. Although he has become a worldwide superstar, many fans know about his humble beginnings.

This talented idol spent part of her pre-debut period as a dancer for the legendary girl group SISTAR. There are countless videos and photo evidence of the idol's time as a dancer. All of these experiences certainly helped him develop into the idol that is before us today.

4. Lim Nayoung


Lim Nayoung is known as a versatile idol, she can sing, act, and much more. He has achieved a number of achievements and has become a celebrity who can do anything. Prior to her appearance on Mnet's "Produce 101", she was a dancer for the eccentric and energetic girl group, Orange Caramel.

5. MONSTA X's Shownu


Shownu has two personalities as a strong and reliable leader and an adorable and kind bear. He is truly great on stage and is often praised for his outstanding performances. This is thanks to her hard work and time spent as a dancer for artists such as SISTAR and Lee Hyori.

Even when he was little known, audiences still recognized his dashing good looks and abundant talent. Given her abilities, it seems fitting that she would make the transition from idol to dancer.

6. Stray Kids' Lee Know 


Lee Know is an idol who is good at everything. The idol can sing, cook, is reliable, and of course he can dance. Before joining JYP Entertainment, Lee Know spent several years as a dancer for the internationally famous boy group, BTS.

He even had the opportunity to tour with them and show his amazing dancing in various cities. With such a rich resume , combined with his passion for success, you can see why Lee Know ultimately became an idol.

7. BAE173's Hangyul 


Hangyul is a warm-hearted idol who can rock the stage at any time. In an interview, the idol shared that during his trainee days , he was a dancer for his sunbae (senior). When he stepped onto the stage and heard the roar of the audience, he immediately hoped that one day he would hear it himself.
