BLACKPINK has successfully proven their status and popularity throughout the world, by recording fantastic numbers of visitors to their world tour concerts. Quoting from Allkpop on September 20, 2023, according to a report from YG Entertainment's agency, BLACKPINK's world tour concert entitled ' BORN PINK ' successfully recorded an audience of 2.1 million, and caused an extraordinary global sensation.
'BORN PINK' was held in 34 cities throughout the world, with a total of 66 performances, in the span of one year, and successfully attracted 1.8 million visitors. With this record, BLACKPINK became the K-Pop girl group with the largest number of concert attendees in history.
BLACKPINK's world tour concert entitled 'BORN PINK' opened in Seoul, South Korea in October 2022, successfully reaching 55,000 spectators. Then they continued touring in a number of continents around the world, such as North America with enthusiastic audiences reaching 540,000 people.
In Europe, BLACKPINK successfully attracted 215,000 concert visitors, and 55,000 people in Australia. Concerts in Asia alone contributed the largest number of spectators, reaching 900,000 spectators. Additionally additional concerts in the Middle East and Australia recorded audiences of 50,000 and 40,000 respectively.
Apart from holding the 'BORN PINK' world tour concert, BLACKPINK also appeared as headliners at a number of major music festivals, such as Coachella which managed to reach around 250,000 spectators in 2 days. They also managed to rock the festival at Hyde Park in the UK as the headline act, and managed to attract around 65,000 spectators.
By adding up all the visitors to the 'BORN PINK' concert and the two major festivals they attended, BLACKPINK successfully greeted 2.115 million fans around the world directly. Proving their popularity and big name on the world music scene.
