BTS' Jungkook, has made new history again with his achievements after releasing a single entitled " Never Let Go." Launching Allkpop on Tuesday June 11, 2024, on June 7, 2024, Jungkook released a new digital single, "Never Let Go," which expressed his gratitude to ARMY (the name of the BTS group's fandom).
Soon after its release, this special song debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. 1 on iTunes charts worldwide and is still at No. 1 on the third day in a row. On June 10, 2024, "Never Let Go" had reached No. 1 on iTunes in a total of 102 countries, including the largest music markets among other countries, namely Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and America.
The song joins fellow BTS member V's "FRI(END)S" as the only songs released in 2024 to chart at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. 1 in 100 countries. Notably, "Never Let Go" was the first 2024 song to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. 1 in 102 regions. "Never Let Go" was released as part of FESTA 2024, an annual BTS festival to commemorate their debut anniversary.
ARMY was made very proud by the achievements achieved by this youngest member of BTS. This song with English lyrics sung by Jungkook's melodious voice has a romantic meaning. After releasing "Never Let Go," Jungkook wrote a sweet message to ARMY via the Weverse platform. "ARMY, have you got my song gift? I hope you like it. I worked on the song from the start while thinking about you. It might feel like the hook (part of the song) is long and repetitive, but actually I want to put on a house genre dance performance with this song," wrote BTS' Jungkook.
"After all, it's our 11th anniversary haha. Thank you for being loyal with us. Hope you don't get sick and stay healthy.
