Thor actor, Chris Hemsworth has just received a Hollywood Walk of Fame star on his name announced at 6819 Hollywood Boulevard in front of Ovation Hollywood, United States. His name was pinned to the 2,781st star under the Motion Pictures category which he officially received on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 11.30 a.m. local time.
"I want to thank my beautiful wife, who has been here all my career, has basically been by my side, relentlessly providing encouragement and support," Chris Hemsworth said in his speech. "And I don't forget that he put his own dreams aside in favor of mine and, once again, (I) are forever indebted to you."
On this occasion, Robert Downey Jr., who was one of the guest speakers, gave his remarks before giving the award to his co-star in the Avengers. He asked other colleagues who are also members of Marvel to describe Chris in three words. "(Jeremy) Renner said, 'Amazing, unbelievably annoying.' (Mark) Ruffalo came out strong with 'friends from work'.
Scarlett (Johansson) discusses the core of her problem with the 'sensitive female lead'. Captain America called him 'the second best Chris,'" the Iron Man actor said, adding, "and I'm going to bring him here and now: no one deserves him better. He is a 'Hollywood star recipient'." Later, Robert also praised Chris as the most extraordinary person he knew.
He also mentioned the latest film that Chris starred in, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, as the film he has been waiting for. Chris's star handover celebration was indeed held one day before the premiere of George Miller's film. "This will be a 2024 movie," Robert predicted, as reported by Variety.
Chris's achievement comes less than two years since he said he would take a break from the film industry and acting world to Vanity Fair as written on the US Magazine page. He revealed this when he felt eight to 10 times more symptoms than Alzheimer's during the filming of the Disney+ documentary series Limitless, which premiered in 2022.
The Australian actor born in 1983 certainly does not want to celebrate his proud achievement alone. Chris also brought his wife, Elsa Pataky, his first 12-year-old daughter, India Rose, and his twins, Sasha and Tristan, who are currently 10 years old.
In one of the photos, Chris is seen wearing a dark blue tuxedo suit over a white shirt embracing his wife and one of his sons holding the award certificate he received. His other son was seen sitting in front of the trio right above the Hollywood Walk of Fame star by the name Chris. In the photo, his eldest daughter is not seen there, but she was present based on a US Magazine report.
"Chris is known for his incredible performances that have captivated audiences around the world," said Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. "Along with the many pieces of work his fans, I'm sure my fellow Australians will be thrilled to know that we're adding one more talented Australian player to our iconic Walk of Fame."
