Red Velvet is confirmed to be making a comeback in the near future. This group made by SM Entertainment is rumored to be releasing a new album entitled Cosmic on June 24, 2024 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut. This news came after Red Velvet's official social media uploaded a first teaser on Sunday June 9, 2024 evening.

In the teaser, Red Velvet also shows off the title of the new album, Cosmic. Reporting from Korea JoongAng Daily on Monday June 10, 2024, the agency said that the Cosmic album will present a new musical style to welcome the summer feel. Even so, there is no more detailed information regarding the title track or album details.

Meanwhile, Cosmic will be Red Velvet's latest album seven months after the release of the album Chill Kill in November 2023. This album is also the first full album featuring the songs Knock Knock (Who's There?), Underwater, Will I Ever See You Again?, and Nightmare. Apart from that, there are also Iced Coffee, One Kiss, Bulldozer, Wings, and Scenery.

The girl group led by Irene has also previously released two other albums, namely The Red (2015) and Perfect Velvet (2017). "The release of this album also marks a series of events to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Red Velvet's debut," said SM Entertainment. Red Velvet first debuted in August 2014 with four members, introducing Yeri as the fifth member in 2015. Red Velvet enlivened the Kpop industry with hit songs, such as Happiness, Red Flavor, Zimzalabim, Psycho, Feel My Rhythm, and others.

This girl group visited Jakarta on the R to V concert tour in May 2023. After that, Red Velvet took part in the SMTOWN LIVE 2023 SMCU PALACE JAKARTA concert with musicians under SM Entertainment on September 23 2023 at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium.
