BIGBANG boyband member, Taeyang, will hold a solo concert in Seoul, South Korea . Quoted from Soompi, the concert was announced by THEBLACKLABEL, Taeyang's current agency after leaving YG Entertainment, on his official social media account.
THEBLACKLABEL releases poster for Taeyang's solo concert. The concert is titled "Taeyang 2024 Tour The Light Year". The concert will be held at the Olympic Hall Seoul, South Korea, on Saturday August 31, 2024, and Sunday September 1, 2024.
The poster features Taeyang staring intently ahead against a brick red backdrop. This marks the idol's comeback after 7 years. He last held a solo concert in 2017. Like concerts in general, this event also offers benefits for fans to be able to participate in sound check sessions, group photos, Q&A sessions, and much more.
This concert was also combined with the release of the idol's official lightstick, reported by Soompi. The lightstick design shows a ball with an ornament inside in the shape of a sun that emits a bright yellow glow. The handle of the lightstick is dominated by black and resembles the shape of the letter 'T'.
As a marker, the lightstick also has Taeyang's name written on it. This was immediately greeted enthusiastically by fans who had been waiting for this merchandise since Taeyang's career as a soloist. Of course, the return of the singer who is known for his unique appearance is highly anticipated by his fans.
Apart from his success with the boyband BIGBANG, Taeyang has also had a successful career as a solo singer. Taeyang released his first mini album Hot on May 22, 2008. Several of the songs he wrote won prestigious awards.
However, after dozens of years under YG Entertainment, the owner of the real name Dong Young Bae decided to leave and join THEBLACKLABEL. It was on this music label that he returned with his latest works. He released his second album titled "Down to Earth” in 2023. The album contains a variety of hit songs, including "VIBE", "Shoong!", and "Seed".
In addition, Taeyang appeared as the main producer on Mnet's survival show "I-LAND 2" and was tasked with selecting members who would debut from 24 participants. There, Taeyang managed to attract public attention by giving warm and sharp feedback to the participants.
