Actress Jung In Sun recently revealed how she got into character in her latest Korean drama titled ' DNA Lover '. Carrying the romantic comedy genre, 'DNA Lover' tells the story of Han So Jin, a genetic researcher who experiences many failures in relationships because she is obsessed with finding a partner based on genetic compatibility.

In the process of looking for a partner, he meets Shim Yeon Woo (played by Choi Siwon from Super Junior), a gynecologist who is good at charming women. Jung In Sun explained the approach and effort she took to play the character of Han So Jin, especially in terms of appearance. 

Jung In Sun made quite a bold transformation in this drama. "I really wanted to try to portray this character in a more extreme way than I've done so far. First, I wanted to make a change in terms of my appearance, so I cut my long hair and added curls and baby hair," said Jung In Sun as quoted by Soompi on July 28, 2024.

She added, “To portray Han So Jin’s bright and vibrant energy, I chose makeup colors that were different from the ones I usually use in the past, and in terms of style, I expressed the character’s passion through bold patterns in primary colors.”

After creating a suitable appearance, Jung In Sun admitted that she gained more courage to portray Han So Jin's bold actions and her passion in finding love. Meanwhile, the production team of 'DNA Lover' praised Jung In Sun's totality in playing her character.

“We are confident that Jung In Sun, who impressed everyone on set with her unique energy and determination, will make viewers fall in love with Han So Jin’s charms in ‘DNA Lover,’” said the production team. Meanwhile, 'DNA Lover' will premiere on August 17, 2024, every Saturday and Sunday at 21:10 KST.
