EXO's Chanyeol is getting ready to make his solo mini album debut titled Black Out which is scheduled for release on August 28, 2024. The announcement was made via EXO's official social media by uploading the first teaser poster for the mini album.

The teaser poster shows Chanyeol running. Although the musician's face is not visible, the photo manages to capture Chanyeol's hair change to blonde to welcome this solo project. "CHANYEOL 1st Mini Album [Black Out]," tweeted the X account (formerly Twitter) @weareoneEXO on Thursday August 8, 2024.

EXO also announced the Black Out mini album consisting of six songs. However, there is no further information regarding the main single Black Out as well as the promotional schedule for Chanyeol's solo mini album debut. This news comes following Chanyeol's series of solo concert tours which will be held in several countries in Asia. 

Titled City-scape in Asia, Chanyeol will kick off the concert in Seoul in September 2024, then continue in Vietnam on September 28, 2024. He will be heading to the Philippines and Thailand for a concert in October. Then, Chanyeol will continue to four cities in Japan, namely Tokyo, Fukuoka, Osaka, and Nagoya.

The musician whose full name is Park Chan-yeol will also greet fans in Indonesia through a concert at Beach City International Stadium Jakarta on December 7, 2024. After that, the tour will close with a concert in Hong Kong on December 21, 2024.

Black Out is the first solo mini album that Chanyeol is ready to release since his career with the boy group EXO. However, previously he had also released singles and collaborated with other musicians. Chanyeol has been recorded to have collaborated with other musicians, such as EXO's Chen, Heize, Henry, Super Junior's Yesung, and Zhou Mi. 

He was also targeted for the song Freal Luv by Far East Movement and Marshmello in 2016. He also launched a single entitled Delight in 2014, then filled the soundtrack for the drama Guardian (2016) through Stay With Me and the drama So I Married an Anti-fan through the song I Hate You.
