Ahead of its release, the latest Korean film titled ' I , the Executioner ' has released an exciting action-packed teaser trailer , making the audience even more impatient. The sequel to ' Veteran ' is a crime action film that tells the story of a veteran investigation team chasing an arrogant third-generation chaebol.
The sequel will continue the story of detective Seo Do Chul (played by Hwang Jung Min) and his criminal investigation team, who are now joined by detective Park Sun Woo (played by Jung Hae In). The film is directed by Ryoo Seung Wan, the director behind the successful films 'The Battleship Island' and 'Escape from Mogadishu'.
The trailer released through the CJ ENM Movie YouTube channel shows the typical excitement of the 'Veteran' series. The trailer begins with a scene of Seo Do Chul saying, " Didn't I tell you not to live a life full of crime? " The action scenes that follow promise to be a refreshing experience.
Jung Hae In will show a new side of himself, raising anticipation for his appearance in this latest project. Nine years after the film 'Veteran' was released in 2015 which attracted more than 13 million moviegoers in theaters, the sequel will return with a new approach to the crime action genre.
The film promises a new style and introduces elements not seen before. In particular, 'I, the Executioner' will explore the world of incidents and accidents featuring skeptical citizens, criminals who take advantage of them, and others who commit crimes driven by mistaken values. 'I, the Executioner' also reunites actors and crew who previously worked together, proving their unmatched chemistry.
With Jung Hae In joining the cast, this film will present a quality story. The film premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival last May at the 'Midnight Screening' event and received a 10-minute standing ovation from the audience and loud cheers. Meanwhile, 'I, the Executioner' is scheduled to hit theaters on September 13, 2024.
