Singer and actor Ren, who was previously a member of the group NU'EST, will say goodbye to his fans for a moment to fulfill his military duties. On September 26, 2024, Ren will begin his alternative duty as a social service worker.
According to the advanced service system, Ren will begin his duties immediately without entering the training camp and will receive military training at a later date. His agency, Big Planet Made Entertainment, previously announced Ren's enlistment, saying, "Ren will enlist as a social service worker on September 26, 2024 and fulfill his military duties."
"We also ask that you refrain from visiting his alternative service location so that Ren can complete his alternative duties smoothly." In the meantime, he is scheduled to complete his military service on June 25, 2026.
