Song Kang Ho officially stars in a new drama adapted from the famous Korean film Inside Men (2015). He is one of the actors confirmed to join the political thriller film adaptation project.
As reported by Korea JoongAng Daily on Thursday September 12, 2024, the news was conveyed directly by Hive Media Corp as the studio that will produce the drama. However, this project is still in the pre-production stage. Hive Media Corp also explained the estimated shooting schedule for the drama, which will be held next year.
However, there has been no confirmation regarding the streaming platform that will air the drama Inside Men. Song Kang-ho is confirmed to play the character Lee Kang-hee, a figure in controlling the political and economic situation of South Korea.
Lee Kang-hee will face various difficult situations in the world of South Korean politics in the 1980s to 1990s. In addition to Song Kang Ho, the studio also announced the presence of Mo Wan-il as director. He is known for several popular dramas, such as Dream High 2 (2012), Misty (2018), The World of the Married (2020), and The Frog (2024).
Meanwhile, Hive Media Corp has also produced many famous dramas and films in Korea, including Deliver Us from Evil (2020), Harbin (2022), Switch (2023), 12.12: The Day (2023), and Handsome Guys (2024).
Inside Men is a popular Korean film that aired in 2015. A thriller genre, the film is an adaptation of the webtoon entitled The Insiders by Yoon Tae-ho. The film version of Inside Men is enlivened by Lee Byung-hun who plays a character named Ahn Sang-goo.
