BTS's Jin will soon make his solo album debut in November 2024. The news was shared directly by BIGHIT Music as the agency on Monday October 14, 2024. The solo debut album will be titled HAPPY and will be released on all music platforms on November 15, 2024.
"Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. We are very happy to share details of BTS member Jin's first solo album titled Happy," BIGHIT Music wrote via Weverse. HAPPY will be Jin's sincere welcome to fans, familiarly called ARMY, in seeing his journey to find happiness. Through the same statement, the agency said that the album will consist of six songs with a band music style.
"With sincere emotions and warm messages to fans woven throughout Happy's songs, we hope this album can bring joy to all of you," concluded BIGHIT Music. The agency also promises other interactions between Jin and fans through various activities during the musician's solo comeback.
Previously, the musician whose full name is Kim Seok-jin had released a digital single titled Super Tuna on October 11, 2024. The song is the latest version of the original song that was released in 2021. The single topped the iTunes Top Songs Chart in 57 territories as well as the top spot on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales Chart.
Previously, the man born in 1992 had made his solo debut through the release of the song The Astronaut which was a collaboration with the British rock band, Coldplay. The song was released in October 2022 or right before Jin went on his military service. The Astronaut topped the iTunes Top Songs Chart in 107 territories and garnered 500 million streams on Spotify.
BTS's Jin has been hinting at a solo album release since last June 2024 with fellow BTS member Jimin, writing in the comment, "Jimin, I'll be next. I'll sing too." Jin became the first BTS member to complete his military service on June 12, 2024. Meanwhile, BTS is confirmed to return as a group in 2025 after all members complete their military service.
