South Korean actor Song Jae Rim has passed away. The Seoul Seongdong Police announced that the actor was found deceased at his home in Seongdong District around 12:30 PM on November 12, 2024. He was 39 years old. 

A friend who had planned to meet him for lunch discovered him and notified the police. The police stated, “So far, there is no evidence of foul play or any criminal activity.” Reports indicate that his final letter was found at the scene.

A memorial has been set up at the Yeouido St. Mary’s Hospital funeral hall. The funeral will take place at noon on November 14, 2024. Born in 1985, Song Jae Rim rose to fame through the 2012 MBC drama The Moon Embracing the Sun. 

He later appeared in dramas such as Cool Guys, Hot Ramen, Inspiring Generation, Two Weeks, Goodbye Mr. Black, Unkind Ladies, Our Gab Soon, I Wanna Hear Your Song, Queen Woo, and My Military Valentine. 

His film credits include Grand Prix, The Suspect, Crazy Love, Yaksha: Ruthless Operations, and Bait. He also appeared on stage in the play The Rose of Versailles, which concluded on October 13, 2024. This play will be remembered as his final work.
