STAYC recently released  a digital single titled ' GPT ' on October 30, 2024. This song marks the official comeback of the girl group under High Up Entertainment this year. The song 'GPT' contains lyrics such as expressions of curiosity and doubt in a relationship.

The use of the term "GPT" refers to a mysterious figure that is difficult to understand, similar to AI technology that is often 'asked' to get answers. At the beginning of the lyrics, there is a strong desire in the STAYC members to 'get to know more' about someone,  "I want to know who you are, I can't fall asleep 'til the morning."

This phrase further clarifies a relationship that is still full of mystery, making them feel awake and wondering all night. "Can't unravel the secret, no matter how hard I try," describes their efforts to understand someone who is very secretive, full of mysteries.

This situation seems to create a one-way dynamic, STAYC feels like they are the only ones trying to maintain the relationship. Members seem to want to ask for a direct answer, by saying  "Tell me, I'm calling you GPT," as an invitation to stop playing around and provide clarity immediately.

The repetition of "dot, dot-dot-dot-dot" can be interpreted as a pause or something left unresolved, about how unspoken words or feelings can cause a relationship to become obstructed. The part "Time is up, time is up, time to show,"  shows STAYC's impatience to get clarity and stop the long-winded circle of confusion.

The phrase "Just like a treadmill, stuck in the same place"  further shows how tiring it is to be in a relationship that is stagnant and not moving forward. As for the closing part, the phrase  "Don't hide your feelings," becomes the final request for openness.

STAYC hopes that the person can be honest, without having to play the riddle again. The music packaged in the 3 minute 30 second video seems to be a visualization of all STAYC members who are feeling frustrated in their efforts to reveal the figure behind the mysterious white mask.
