Namgoong Min and Jeon Yeo Been were reported by Soompi on December 22, 2024 to be ready to act together in the upcoming SBS drama entitled Our Movie (literal translation). This drama, which brings together Namgoong Min and Jeon Yeo Been, is said to carry the romance genre.
Our Movie tells the story of a film director who experiences a career decline in his second year due to losing momentum after achieving success in his first project. He then tried to work on a new film involving a terminally ill actress as the main character at the end of her life.
Actor Namgoong Min, who previously starred in My Dearest (2023), Taxi Driver Season 2 (2023), and One Dollar Lawyer (2022), will be cast as the character Lee Je Ha, a film director who is struggling to get out of his slump in this project.
Although his career got off to a promising start, with his commercial debut sweeping the film festival circuit that year, Lee Je Ha has been faced with a series of failures in the years since, and now finds himself struggling, facing an uncertain future.
Meanwhile, actress Jeon Yeo Been, who was previously involved in hit drama projects such as A Time Called You (2023), Glitch (2022), Vincenzo (2021), and Be Melodramatic (2019), will play the character Lee Da Eum, an aspiring actress who suffers from a rare disease and is diagnosed with incurable disease in this drama.
It is said that at the end of her life, Lee Da Eum met director Lee Je Ha who then involved her in a film project that placed her as the main character for the first time. Our Movie is said to be directed by Lee Jung Heum, the figure behind the success of Inspector Koo , Nobody Knows , and Falsify .
Meanwhile, the script will be written by two talented writers, Han Ga Eun and Kang Gyeong Min. Regarding the broadcast schedule, the drama is said to premiere in 2025.
