NCT's Jaemin reportedly donated 100 million won to help children in need. Jaemin gave the donation on behalf of 'NCTzen Dream' fans. As reported by Allkpop on Tuesday December 24, 2024, this news was announced directly by representatives from UNICEF Korea. They said that NCT Dream boy group member Jaemin donated 100 million won on behalf of the fan club 'NCTzen Dream' to help support children around the world.
Specifically, the assistance provided by the 24-year-old idol was the result of the sale of frames and photos of his work when he opened his first photo exhibition entitled 'Narcissism: Jaemin First Exhibition' which was held last June 2024. On the other hand, the donations in the name of fans will later be channeled to help children around the world.
Especially those who are having difficulty facing winter due to natural disasters or victims of war. Regarding the donation he distributed, Jaemin said, "I want to repay and share the love and support I received from fans by doing something meaningful together. I hope this assistance can provide warmth to children during this holiday season." This isn’t the first time Jaemin has been involved in charity work either.
The idol previously collaborated with UNICEF Korea by visiting Hanoi and Kon Tum in Vietnam to support music education programs for underprivileged children. UNICEF Korea Representative, Secretary General Jo Mi Jin expressed her gratitude for the assistance received. She said, "We sincerely thank Jaemin and his fans for the special gift they gave to children this holiday season."
"This donation will be used to help children who are having difficulty coping with winter, especially those who are victims of natural disasters or war, as well as those who are less fortunate," he added. Meanwhile, Jaemin is currently busy with his main group NCT Dream which will be performing at a number of year-end festivals.
