Taylor Swift is said to have given gifts outside of her salary to the crew of The Eras Tour amounting to up to US$197 million right after the tour officially ended on Sunday December 8, 2024. As reported by People on Monday December 9, 2024, the crew who received bonuses included truck drivers, cooks, sales teams, lighting, sound, and instrument technicians.

In addition, there are also production staff and assistants, dancers, bands, security, construction technicians, choreographers, pyrotechnicians, hair stylists, make-up artists, wardrobe stylists, physical therapists, and a video team. Variety explains that the total bonus reached almost 10 percent of the tour's overall profits, which were reported to be more than US$2 billion.

On the other hand, it is unknown how many crews contributed to this tour. If we assume that 200 crews were involved, then roughly, each crew from The Eras Tour received an average bonus outside of their salary of US$985 thousand or equivalent to Rp15.6 billion for their dedication during the last two years of The Eras Tour.

The news of this bonus comes after in August 2023, the musician was reported to have given bonuses outside of salary to the crew totaling more than US$55 million. The Eras Tour also recently broke the record for being the first tour in history to reach revenues of US$2 billion.

As reported by the New York Times and confirmed by Variety on Monday December 9, 2024 local time, the revenue was earned from the sale of 10,168,008 tickets at 149 concerts held on five continents. The revenue is also double the initial estimate of the tour's revenue at the end of last year.

Swift's company initially declined to report the number of attendees for the tour, which kicked off in March 2023. However, several trade firms have predicted the tour will top $2 billion. The Eras Tour could actually have earned even more revenue considering that three concerts were canceled, namely a show in Vienna, Austria, after a group of terrorists were caught.
