The 2024 MBC Drama Awards were finally broadcast on January 5, 2024. MBC's annual awards event was postponed because South Korea was still in a period of national mourning following the Jeju Air plane crash that killed 179 people.

At the 2024 MBC Drama Awards, Na In Woo made his first public appearance after being announced that he would not have to serve in the military. The actor reportedly waited for about 3 years but was not called by the military.

Now at the 2024 MBC Drama Awards, In Woo appeared on stage accompanied by Lee Se Young who was his co-star in the drama "Motel California". The two were appointed to read out the nominations for the Best Couple winner.

The stills from the 2024 MBC Drama Awards show Se Young asking, "Didn't Na In Woo win Best Couple twice? Which couple do you think will win this time?" In Woo answers, "The chemistry is so good that it's hard to say anything. I hope all the couples win awards."

Se Young then said, "I think it would be nice if 'Doubt' wins because I enjoyed watching it." However, the two actors took turns continuing, "It's hard to predict because it's decided 100 percent by viewers' votes.

We also want to be nominated for the Best Couple Award in 2025." After that, In Woo returned to promote "Motel California" which will soon be broadcast on TV. "We will show our first love story in 23 years, so please look forward to it," said the actor born in 1994.

On the other hand, In Woo recently received a military exemption while awaiting his call-up as a social service worker. The actor was apparently classified as a Level 4, but the reason was not stated by the agency.

In Woo's agency Hanada Company revealed, "Na In Woo was classified as Level 4 and was waiting for a summons from the Military Manpower Administration. However, after three years without receiving a summons, he was exempted from military service."

According to the Military Service Act, if someone classified as Level 4 is not called up within three years, they are automatically exempted from military service. About 10,000 people received this exemption this year, including In Woo.
