Yoo Yeon Seok Reveals the Meaning of the Bed Scene at the End of the Drama When The Phone Rings

Korean drama When The Phone Rings starring Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin has just finished airing some time ago. After the drama finished, through an interview with local media, Yoo Yeon Seok shared his experience playing the character Baek Sa Eon in the drama.

One of the highlights was the quite intense bed scene between him and Chae Soo Bin who played Baek Sa Eon's wife, Hong Hee Joo in the last episode of When The Phone Rings . Yoo Yeon Seok then revealed the important meaning behind the scene.

According to him, the bed scene was an important moment for the couple Baek Sa Eon and Hong Hee Joo who were emotionally and communicatively disconnected as a couple who had been married for three years. 

"They rediscover their feelings for each other through threatening phone calls, and after many ups and downs, they finally reunite," Yoo Yeon Seok told local media some time ago. Furthermore, Yoo Yeon Seok considered the scene as the real 'first night' for the couple. 

He and Chae Soo Bin said they wanted to show the scene beautifully, and focus on the intimate scene of the long-married couple. Yoo Yeon Seok also discussed the scene in depth with Chae Soo Bin, sharing thoughts on the tone and feel of the scene. 

Not only that, the bed scene was also carefully planned, even reviewed in video form. "I didn't expect to get such a strong reaction, especially from overseas audiences, but I'm glad people found it beautiful and good," said Yoo Yeon Seok.

The actor who plays Baek Sa Eon then also shared his thoughts on the global popularity achieved by the Korean drama When The Phone Rings. Yoo Yeon Seok said that he did not expect that his drama would receive such an enthusiastic response. "Although I started the project with hope, the results were impossible to predict. 

I never expected to receive such an enthusiastic response," he said. When The Phone Rings itself is known to have always been ranked in the top 10 on the OTT Netflix platform since its inception. Not only that, this drama also received a national rating of 8.6 percent in its final episode.
