Actor Ju Ji Hoon's popularity suddenly skyrocketed after his latest drama received a lot of attention. Ju Ji Hoon is known to be the main actor in the Netflix series titled The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call. The medical drama was well received by the audience because it presented an interesting story.

Not to mention the acting given by Ju Ji Hoon with his co-star, Choo Young Woo, made the audience laugh. Despite having many stories about critical cases in the medical world, the two actors were still able to slip in acting that made the audience laugh.

But amidst the success of The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call , there was some unpleasant talk from Korean fans. They highlighted Ju Ji Hoon's fame through this drama. It seems that many do not like the 42-year-old actor getting huge popularity. 

Moreover, Ju Ji Hoon was once caught in a drug scandal. Netizens also asked directors to stop hiring drug addicts. "Why do directors keep hiring addicts?," wrote knetz. "Let's stop supporting him," another commented. Even so, many other netizens defended him. 

They considered that even though Ju Ji Hoon had a scandal in the past, his acting quality always improved in every drama he starred in. "'Joo Jihoon & TOP, 2 actors whose mistakes are constantly being brought up no matter how good their acting is, " commented @ava***.

"Besides, that incident happened in 2009, he was already in prison, paid a fine, and so on. The incident happened 11 years ago and it's still being brought up. Previously, Ju Ji Hoon was caught up in a drug case in 2009. He was accused of using ecstasy and ketamine, which are banned in South Korea. The Princess Hours actor was caught with two of his friends including model Yoon Seol Hee. 

After being caught, urine results stated that Ji Hoon was negative for drugs. Based on the lawyer's statement, Ju Ji Hoon admitted to only using drugs 1-2 times a year. Even so, he was still sentenced to six months in prison, one year of probation, a fine of Rp3.9 billion and 120 hours of volunteer service.
