Seo Jang Hoon expressed his frustration after being rumored to have assets reaching 2 trillion won. This was revealed in the latest episode of the JTBC program "Knowing Bros" which aired on February 8, 2025. The episode brought in chef Lee Yeon Bok as a guest star.
The episode preview shows Chef Yeon Bok revealing an interesting story about Jang Hoon, who is known as the owner of many buildings. The chef, who has run a Chinese restaurant for 27 years, expressed his gratitude to Jang Hoon. Chef Yeon Bok said, "I thanked Jang Hoon in the past.
We did a program together and we talked about the store rent. He told me to contact him if (the rent) went up a lot. He told me to come to his building." Member Lee Soo Geun then joked, "Seo Jang Hoon thought that if Yeon Bok moved out, it would be beneficial for him.
" Jang Hoon then explained, "(Yeon Bok) was really worried about the rent, so I told her to talk to me if she was having trouble with the rent." However, Yeon Bok revealed that her concerns about rent have been resolved. "When talking about it on broadcast, the rent did go up once after I opened my restaurant, and it hasn't gone up even once in 10 years."
Next, Jang Hoon expressed his frustration over rumors of having a fortune of 2 trillion won. "Someone claimed that I have a fortune of 2 trillion won. They even said that I gave 30 million won as a wedding gift at Min Kyung Hoon's wedding."
When Kang Ho Dong laughed at the remark, Jang Hoon replied, "Why are you laughing? People are saying you gave 20 million won." Soo Geun then added, "There were even articles saying Sang Min used other people's wedding gift money." Kyung Hoon made everyone laugh even harder by saying, "There must be a hole in it."
Sang Min, who was the object of the joke, just kept quiet. It is known that Sang Min is associated with the image of having a lot of debt, even though in fact he doesn't. Meanwhile, chef Yeon Bok revealed that he doesn't care about restaurant ratings. "I really don't care about ratings.
I want to cook what I like rather than worrying about those things," he said. The chef isn't even interested in the Michelin star rating. "Even if I was offered a Michelin star, I wouldn't take it. It's very stressful to accept it, to conform to its standards, and then to risk losing it," he concluded.
