South Korean rapper Choi Seung Hyun, better known as T.O.P, is rumored to be rejoining his group, BIGBANG. The rumor spread in online communities after learning that TOP's name was still listed on BIGBANG's official YouTube account. In addition, T.O.P's Instagram profile included the description T.O.P Choi Seung Hyun.
Regarding the news, T.O.P immediately gave his clarification. He denied the news that he was rejoining BIGBANG. On Tuesday February 11, 2025, T.O.P's representative said that the idol had never added or changed his name on social media. T.O.P also stuck to his choice not to return to his group.
"The name 'T.O.P' on Choi Seung Hyun's social media profiles was never added or changed - it was always there," BIGBANG's T.O.P representative said, as reported by Allkpop. "His position regarding Big Bang remains the same as he expressed in recent interviews," he continued.
Meanwhile, T.O.P recently expressed his feelings about BIGBANG. The Squid Game 2 actor feels unworthy to return to the group. "After being discharged from the military, I felt like I had caused too much harm to BIGBANG.
I decided to leave because I didn't want to cause more trouble for the group," T.O.P said. "When my contract ended, I chose to leave after the 'Still Life' project. I felt ashamed to return to BIGBANG. If I worked alone, I could take full responsibility for my past mistakes, but if I rejoined the team, that wouldn't happen.
I didn't want to burden them," he continued. Previously, YG Entertainment, which manages BIGBANG's YouTube channel, also stated that the account's profile has not been changed since the release of Still Life. YG listed G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P, and Daesung as contributors to the song.
