Cha Eun-woo in early 2025 received an offer to act with Go Min Si in a drama by the Hong Sisters writers. The agency previously revealed that the ASTRO member was considering the offer in a positive direction. However, on March 11, 2025, Cha Eun-woo reportedly turned down the offer to star in the drama with Min Si.
An industry insider said, "Cha Eun-woo has finally turned down the offer to appear in the Hong Sisters' new work, which he was positively considering." However, the informant did not reveal the exact reason for Cha Eun-woo's rejection of the drama that is likely to be a success.
However, it seems that the actor is currently focusing on starring in a drama that he has already confirmed. It is known that Eunwoo is still busy with the filming process of the Netflix drama titled "The WONDERfools". The actor will act with Park Eun Bin, Kim Hae Sook, Choi Dae Hoon, Im Sung Jae, Son Hyun Joo and many other players.
"The WONDERfools" is a drama about superpowers set in 1999, when the belief in the apocalypse was rampant. The drama follows a group of misfits who suddenly gain superpowers and fight against villains who threaten the peace of the city of Haeseong. In "The WONDERfools," Cha Eun-woo will play Lee Woon Jung, a special civil servant in Haeseong who lacks social skills.
Woon Jung is a very strict figure with rules and principles in the workplace. However, outside of City Hall where he works, Won Jung is a mysterious figure who works with Eun Chae Ni (Eun Bin) in investigating a series of disappearances that occurred in Haeseong with curiosity. Cha Eun-woo, who is now 28 years old, also has the burden of military service.
Attention is focused on how many more drama or film projects the 1997-born actor can star in before he has to go on hiatus to serve in the military. On the other hand, details about the drama title and broadcast schedule of the Hong Sisters' drama are still under wraps. Min Si's agency has also revealed that no specific information has been finalized.
However, they confirmed, "It's not 'Hotel Del Luna 2'." Meanwhile, screenwriters Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran, collectively known as the Hong sisters, have written some of Korea's most beloved dramas, including "Alchemy of Souls," "Hotel Del Luna," and "The Master's Sun," among others.
