GOT7's BamBam has decided not to renew his contract with his agency, Abyss Company. The agency announced that their exclusive contract has ended. "Our exclusive contract with BamBam has ended.
After much discussion and consideration, we have agreed to terminate the contract," Abyss Company said on Thursday, February 6, 2025. “We are grateful to BamBam who has been with us all this time and we will support his journey going forward,” he continued.
BamBam debuted as a member of GOT7 under JYP Entertainment in 2014. After their contract was completed, BamBam and the other GOT7 members started looking for their own agency. In 2021, BamBam joined Abyss Company to release his first solo mini album titled riBBon.
BamBam had expressed that his career was managed by the agency and that his mental health was affected by the tight schedule. In September 2024, the Thai idol wrote, “I just want to sleep and not wake up so I can rest.” and “I will leave in 2025.”
When fans asked the reason, BamBam responded, “The people around me are the reason I died.” On the other hand, BamBam has just finished promoting GOT7's latest album, WINTER HEPTAGON for two weeks with six members who are now in different agencies.
