INFINITE's Sungjong won a lawsuit against his former agency, SPK Entertainment. He demanded the payment he did not receive while under the company. Sungjong joined SPK in August 2022 after not renewing his contract with Woollim Entertainment.
However, he is still active as a member of INFINITE. During the contract period, Sungjong did not receive payment or support for television appearances, fan meetings, or album releases. The agency also did not discuss content certification, so last year, Sungjong terminated his exclusive contract.
The forced arbitration was stipulated in the decision suspending the effect of the contract, which released Sungjong from the exclusive contract. After that, Sungjong filed a lawsuit for payment related to INFINITE, YouTube appearances, fan meetings in Japan for two years. He won the case on February 28, 2025, a year after the lawsuit was filed.
“The defendant (SPK Entertainment) must pay the plaintiff (Lee Sungjong) the wages with 6 percent interest from April 21, 2023 to February 28, 2025 with 12 percent annual interest from the stated date until full payment,” the court said on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Sungjong now joins INFINITE COMPANY which manages the group INFINITE along with the members. They released their 8th mini album titled LIKE INFINITE. INFINITE will also hold a 15th anniversary concert, LIMITED EDITION this coming April in Seoul, South Korea.
