The bespectacled Seventeen member will undergo military service this year, starting on April 3, 2025. Wonwoo is the second Seventeen member to undergo military service. Previously, Jeonghan began his military service on September 26, 2024.
Wonwoo was born on July 17, 1996. In July 2025, he will be 29 years old. Therefore, Wonwoo must undergo military service before his 29th birthday. Because military service in South Korea is specifically for men who are 18-28 years old.
In its statement, Pledis revealed that Wonwoo will still be present at the 'Seventeen in Carat Land' concert held on March 20-21, 2025 at Incheon Munhak Stadium, South Korea. However, the owner of the single Leftover will not be present at Seventeen's fan meeting in Japan held in April 2025.

As previously announced, Wonwoo will still participate in the "SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND" concert scheduled for March 20-21 and will appear in various pre-recorded content. Wonwoo is a member of South Korean boy group Seventeen with the position of rapper. He along with S.Coups, Mingyu and Vernon are members of the hip hop unit in Seventeen. The man with the full name Jeon Wonwoo is known for his distinctive voice when rapping.
Before his military service, Wonwoo and Jeonghan had released their debut single album titled THIS MAN. In the single album, there are three songs, namely Last Night as the main song, Beautiful Monster, and Leftover. Last Night was sung by Wonwoo in a duet with Jeonghan. While Leftover is Wonwoo's solo song.
