PENTAGON's Jinho has officially ended his contract with the agency that has housed him for almost a decade, CUBE Entertainment .Quoted from Soompi on Tuesday April 15, 2025, CUBE Entertainment officially announced on April 15, 2025 that their exclusive contract with Jinho had ended as of April 14, 2025.

In their official statement, the agency expressed their gratitude for Jinho's dedication and hard work throughout his career, both as a member of PENTAGON and as a solo artist. " Since his debut in 2016 as a member of PENTAGON, Jinho has shown incredible talent and dedication to music.

We are very grateful for all of his contributions and will continue to support his new steps forward, " CUBE wrote in its official statement. Before becoming part of PENTAGON, Jinho actually debuted in the music industry in 2010 as a member of SM The Ballad, a vocal project under SM Entertainment.

His career journey continued at CUBE Entertainment, where he eventually became the main vocalist and oldest member of PENTAGON. Since completing his military service in 2021, Jinho has been actively appearing in various music and stage projects, including releasing his first solo album titled '[CHO:RD]' in September 2024.

Not only active in the music world, Jinho also made a strong mark on the musical stage. Most recently, he is scheduled to star in the lead role as Peter in the musical 'Bare: A Pop Opera' which will be staged in June.

Since his debut in 'Summer Snow' in 2013, Jinho has captivated audiences through his roles in various productions, such as 'All Shook Up' and 'The Song of the Sun,' which confirmed his talent and dedication to acting.

Recently, he also successfully played Collie, a robot driver, in the innovative musical 'A Thousand Blues,' as reported by Kpopmap on Tuesday April 15, 2025. This career journey further shows that Jinho is a versatile artist who is ready to explore new opportunities outside of CUBE Entertainment.

Jinho's decision to leave the agency follows in the footsteps of five other PENTAGON members—Yeo One, Yan An, Yuto, Kino, and Wooseok—who had already terminated their contracts with CUBE in October 2023. However, the members stated that they still want to maintain the group identity of PENTAGON for the fans, showing their loyalty to UNIVERSE, the name for their fans.

Although there has been no further confirmation regarding the continuation of the group's official activities, many fans still hope that PENTAGON will remain active in the new format in the future. Jinho's decision is certainly a big step, both for him personally and for the future of the group as a whole.

Jinho's move to continue his career outside of CUBE was met with warm hopes and support from fans and the agency. " We ask for your continued support for Jinho's bright future, " CUBE said in its closing statement. Parting ways between artists and agencies is not uncommon in South Korean entertainment.

However, Jinho's journey with CUBE Entertainment has been an important part of PENTAGON's history, and his achievements will always be remembered by loyal fans. Now, all eyes are on Jinho to see where his next steps will take him. Will he return with a solo effort, more musical projects, or even form a new agency with his teammates?
