Super Junior's Sungmin leaves SM Entertainment after 20 years together. This news was officially revealed by SM Entertainment on Wednesday April 30, 2025. "We would like to inform you that our exclusive contract with our artist Sungmin has ended," SM Entertainment.
For more than 20 years together, SM Entertainment expresses its gratitude to Sungmin. "We thank Sungmin for being with us for over 20 years, from his trainee days to his activities as an artist," the statement continued.
Furthermore, SM Entertainment will also continue to provide support to Sungmin to continue his career at the new agency. "We will continue to support Sungmin's musical endeavors and new beginnings," they wrote.
"We ask for your continued warm attention and support for Sungmin in the future," SM Entertainment added. Meanwhile, Sungmin debuted as a member of Super Junior in 2005. In December 2014, Sungmin made a big decision by marrying actress Kim Sa Eun.
From this marriage, Sungmin and Kim Sa Eun were blessed with a son in September 2024. Since his discharge from military service, Lee Sungmin has focused on his solo career as a trot singer.
