ASTRO's JinJin has been granted an exemption from military service. He will not be enlisting with fellow member Cha Eun Woo in July due to health issues. The news of ASTRO's JinJin's military service was announced by his agency, Fantagio through an official statement.

According to Fantagio, the owner of the real name Park Jin Woo has an autoimmune condition, which makes him unable to serve and do military service. Like Cha Eun Woo, ASTRO's JinJin underwent a thorough medical examination when he enlisted in the military.

However, the Military Manpower Administration found that he had an autoimmune disease. The disease will not interfere with his activities while doing physical training at the military camp, but ASTRO's JinJin must go to the hospital regularly for medical examinations.

"JinJin was declared unfit for military service after undergoing a detailed medical examination with the Military Manpower Administration due to health issues related to an autoimmune condition," Fantagio said in a statement on Monday May 2, 2025.

"Although his condition does not interfere with his daily life, he must make hospital visits for ongoing examinations and treatment. Based on medical opinion, it would be difficult for him to serve in the military in such a state, he has been granted an exemption from military service," Fantagio explained.

As the agency that houses the members of the Kpop group ASTRO, Fantagio prioritizes JinJin's health and asks for fans' support for his future activities. Previously on Friday May 9, 2025, the visual of Kpop group ASTRO, Cha Eun Woo was reported to be going to the military soon.

He was seen attending an interview with the Army military band unit at the Ministry of National Defense by eyewitnesses. Following Sports World's report, Cha Eun Woo's agency released an official statement and confirmed his choice to join the military band. Cha Eun Woo is scheduled to depart and begin his duties on July 28, 2025.
