A Chinese woman has reportedly been arrested and detained by South Korean police after attempting to break into BTS Jungkook's  residence  on Wednesday June 11, 2025 night KST. The break-in took place on the same day that the youngest BTS member had just completed his military service.

Reported from Korea JoongAng Daily on Thursday June 12, 2025 that the woman was arrested by officers from Yongsan Police Station in Seoul at 23:20 KST on suspicion of attempted trespassing.

Police also revealed that the perpetrator was in his 30s and reportedly tried to enter the BTS member's residence located in the Yongsan area by repeatedly pressing the keypad code on the front door.

The police also revealed that they received a report and immediately arrested the perpetrator at the scene based on a report from a neighbor. During the investigation, the perpetrator admitted to visiting Korea to meet Jungkook after the musician completed his military service on June 11, 2025.

However, there is no further information regarding the punishment for the perpetrators of the attempted burglary. Local police also said they will continue to investigate the details of the incident.

On the other hand, Jungkook just completed 18 months of mandatory military service with BTS's Jimin on June 11, 2025. The two became the fifth and sixth members to complete their military service, following in the footsteps of Jin, J-Hope, RM and V who had already completed their military service.

Jimin and Jungkook also immediately greeted journalists and fans familiarly called ARMY who had been waiting for them in Yeoncheon when they officially finished their military service. Both of them immediately gave a salute and received their respective bouquets of flowers prepared by the agency staff there.

"Thank you so much for coming all the way to see us, ARMY," Jimin said as reported by Korea JoongAng Daily on Wednesday June 11, 2025. "It's been a long time since the Covid-19 pandemic and our military duties. But thank you for enduring all of that for us," said the musician who was born in 1995.

"We're done today, so we can continue to paint the picture we've done so far. We'll bring something better and show it to everyone," he said. "I also want to say thank you to everyone who is still in the camp, such as my seniors, juniors, and colleagues.

Thank you for taking good care of me," Jungkook said. All BTS members, along with fans or ARMY, are now just waiting for Suga to return home, who is scheduled to complete his military service as a social service agent on June 21, 2025.

The completion of the military service period for the five BTS members in June 2025 also marks a big step towards BTS's comeback as a full group into the global music world. In celebration of this moment, HYBE as the parent company of BigHit Music, is seen decorating its headquarters in Seoul with the BTS and ARMY logos using the phrase "We Are Back".

The logo will remain in place until June 29, 2025, simultaneously to celebrate the group's debut anniversary which falls on June 13, 2025. "This phrase feels even more special because the members have completed their military service and returned to their fans," HYBE said in a statement.

On the other hand, BTS's RM and V have also completed their military service on June 10, 2024. "With Jin and J-Hope, who returned first, actively busy with their solo activities, expectations for BTS's group project are also increasing," the label continued.
