Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Omniscient Reader” tells the story of Kim Dok Ja (Ahn Hyo Seo) who suddenly finds himself living in the world of the fantasy novel he is reading. Armed with the knowledge of what happened in the novel, Dok Ja sets out to save the world from the apocalypse.
Dok Ja also meets the main character in the novel, Yoo Joong Hyuk, played by Lee Min Ho . As the protagonist of the novel that Dok Ja reads, Joong Hyuk is said to have regression abilities and has repeated several lives in order to survive in this chaotic world.
Yoo Joong Hyuk, the main character in the novel "Three Ways to Survive in a Ruined World" is said to have extraordinary strength and resilience. He is able to complete every scenario thanks to his regression ability that allows him to start over every time he dies.

Lee Min Ho also shared his thoughts on his role in Omniscient Reader as Yoo Joong Hyuk. “ I spent a lot of time thinking about the loneliness of a man who survives alone in eternal life. Because the character is constantly fighting, I also worked hard to prepare for action scenes, ” said Lee Min Ho regarding his role in his latest film.
Furthermore, Lee Min Ho also revealed the thoughtful approach he took to bring the story's main character to life. “ I had to show this universe through Yoo Joong Hyuk, and I felt that if it didn’t feel real, the process of Dok Ja entering this worldview and overcoming the crisis wouldn’t be convincing, ” added the actor who often plays chaebols in various Korean dramas.
Regarding the efforts to build Yoo Joong Hyuk's character, Lee Min Ho also shared a little of his story in order to give a down-to-earth and focused performance. “ I spent a lot of time thinking about how to make everything feel real, whether it was the action, the look in my eyes, or my facial expressions without overdoing it, ” Lee Min Ho said.
