NCT Dream has finally started promotions for their fifth full album comeback titled 'Go Back To The Future' which will be released on July 14, 2025. Welcoming the release of the latest album, NCT Dream shared their album concept through a video trailer titled 'NCT Dream: We Don't Need Roads.'
Through a video uploaded to the NCT Dream YouTube account on Saturday June 28, 2025), NCT Dream raised the concept of time travel using a hoverboard, and passing through the past, present, and future.
The narrative presented through a video with a duration of around 2 minutes and 4 seconds takes place in three time periods, namely The Past, The Present (2025), and The Absolute Present or the distant future.
In this trailer video, the curious NCT Dream members find a hoverboard that takes them through time, like going back to the past, present, and future. It starts with a scene where members Jaemin and Chenle go back to the past, and find their excitement while riding a hoverboard.
Enjoying a time full of nostalgia, the two seem to be experimenting to return to the future. The scene then continues to the present time sequence showing members Renjun, Jeno, and Haechan enjoying the wonder and sophistication of the powers they have.
So that it surprises the people around them. Lastly, members Mark and Jisung are in the Absolute Present world which is full of sophistication when everything looks so challenging and the world looks like a collection of silver metal cities with a red sky.
For their latest album comeback, NCT Dream is embracing the Sci-fi concept and taking inspiration from the film 'Back To The Future' which was released in the 80s. This film tells the story of someone who goes back in time with a device he created.
In its implementation, NCT Dream tries to find the side of romance and stories that they have not encountered before in the world and time they are currently living in. Until they travel through time to feel a different experience.
As reported by Allkpop on Saturday June 29, 2025, because this concept was inspired by a film, NCT Dream has also received permission from the creators of the film 'Back To The Future' including Amblin Entertainment and Universal Studios.
The concept carried in their latest album is a tribute to the film, including adapting the retro style and equipment used. Such as involving architecture with cross-time periods, red skies, high-energy sequences, and robotic friends. Meanwhile, NCT Dream's fifth full album titled 'Go Back To The Future' will have 9 songs in it.
Including 2 main songs titled 'Back To The Future' and 'Chiller' which describe emotional experiences and unexpected events while the members are searching for their most shining selves. The album 'Go Back To The Future' will be officially released on July 14, 2025, at 6:00 PM KST.
Meanwhile, the music video for the song 'Back To The Future' will be released first on July 9, 2025, welcoming the celebration of the concert 'The Dream Show 4: Dream The Future' which will be held on July 10-12, 2025 at Gocheok Sky Dome, Seoul.
