Sad news has once again struck the South Korean entertainment world. Singer Lee Min, a member of the duo As One, has passed away. As reported by the Korea JoongAng Daily on Wednesday August 6, 2025, the 46-year-old singer passed away on Tuesday August 5, 2025.
She was found dead at his home in the evening. Lee Min's death was confirmed by his management, Brand New Music. No further details were provided regarding the cause of death, but police are currently conducting further investigations.
Lee Min remained active in the music industry until early July 2025. She appeared on the KBS2 talk show "The Seasons: Park Bogum's Cantabile." She sang alongside comedian Moon Se Yoon and rapper Hanhae.
Lee Min debuted in 1999 with Crystal as the duo As One. The group became known for hit songs like Day by Day (1999), Desire and Hope (2001), and I'm Fine (2001).
Last June 2025, As One released another single, "Happy Birthday to You." Lee Min is also active in teaching music alongside his singing career. Lee Min leaves behind her husband, whom she married in Hawaii in 2013.
During this time of grief, Brand New Music's management has asked the public not to speculate about Lee Min's death. "We ask that there be no speculation until the police investigation is complete," they said.
