South Korean actress Park Ji Hyun is confirmed not to be joining the Korean drama Flex X Cop season two. MyDaily reported on Wednesday August 13, 2025 that Park Ji Hyun has finally decided not to appear in the second season of the 2024 SBS drama.
Namoo Actors agency, which manages Park Ji Hyun, also confirmed this news and said the actress' absence was due to scheduling conflicts. Due to scheduling conflicts, Park Ji Hyun will not be joining the next season," Namoo Actors said, as quoted by Soompi.
With Park Ji Hyun not participating, the production team is reportedly looking for another actress for the role, although the casting is not yet final. Meanwhile, the filming process is expected to begin early next year after the casting is completed.
The drama Flex x Cop tells the story of Jin Yi Soo (Ahn Bo Hyun), a childish third-generation chaebol who became a detective due to his privileged background, and Lee Kang Hyun (Park Ji Hyun), a workaholic veteran detective and also the first female team leader in the Homicide Department.
The drama premiered with an average national rating of 5.7 percent and peaked at 11 percent in its final episode. Recently, Park Ji Hyun was also confirmed to star in tvN's upcoming office romance drama Back to Work! (literal title) alongside Seo In Guk.
