THE BOYZ's Hyunjae suffered a torn ligament injury just three days after THE BOYZ officially made their comeback on July 28, 2025. Hyunjae reportedly suffered an ankle injury. THE BOYZ's agency, ONE HUNDRED, announced this on Thursday July 31, 2025.
Where Hyunjae was diagnosed with a torn ligament after he injured his ankle while performing on a live music show broadcast on the same day. Due to this injury, Hyunjae will be sitting in a chair while performing with THE BOYZ for Music Bank on August 1, 2025.
"Today, THE BOYZ member Hyunjae injured his ankle during a live music show broadcast and visited the hospital, where after being examined, he was diagnosed with a partially torn ligament," ONE HUNDRED said in their official statement, quoted on Friday August 1, 2025.
Hyunjae will continue to perform with THE BOYZ during comeback promotions, but will be required to sit out and not participate in the choreography. This is in accordance with the doctor's advice after his examination.
"Regarding Hyunjae's future activities, we will make adjustments considering our artist's health and making his recovery a top priority. We will do our best to ensure Hyunjae's speedy recovery," added ONE HUNDRED.
THE BOYZ recently made a comeback with the release of their 10th mini-album, a;effect, featuring the title track " Stylish ." This marks their first comeback since Ju Haknyeon left the group due to a scandal.
