ZEROBASEONE, a project group formed through Mnet's survival show 'Boys Planet', reportedly has a big chance of extending its active period. According to an official statement from WakeOne's agency to MK Sports on August 12, 2025, the group is currently evaluating ZeroBaseOne's growth potential and prospects.
"We have been in intensive discussions with each member's agency since the beginning of this year regarding the possibility of extending the project group's operating period," a WakeOne representative said, though they have not yet provided a definitive statement.
Earlier that day, JoyNews24 reported that ZEROBASEONE had reached an agreement with several agencies and members to extend the group's activities. The relevant parties are currently finalizing the technical details, and an official announcement is expected soon.
ZEROBASEONE debuted on July 10, 2023, with a 2.5-year contract. If an extension of activities is not reached, the group is scheduled to disband on January 10, 2026. The group's continued existence is a major concern for fans, known as ZEROSE, given the group's popularity and achievements since its debut.
Meanwhile, ZEROBASEONE is preparing to release their first full-length album titled 'Never Say Never' on September 1, 2025. This album is said to be a work that summarizes ZEROBASEONE's musical journey with ZEROSE, as well as being the most shining moment in their career.
