Choo Young Woo sparked controversy after being seen wearing an unusual phone case. The actor was accused of a penchant for lolita-themed clothing or a sexual obsession with underage girls. In a viral post on a Korean community forum, a netizen highlighted Choo Young Woo's phone case.

The case featured an animation of a young girl wearing a short-cut Japanese school uniform. The design on the back of Choo Young Woo's phone case was created by a Chinese artist behind the Instagram account @sunzhouuu.

Shockingly, the artist frequently depicts sexual fantasies about underage girls in his work. Upon closer inspection, the building in the background of Choo Young Woo's phone case has the words "Adult Goods," referring to an 18+ explicit goods store.

There's also the words "Akibara High School Girls," which is a form of sexual entertainment in Japan targeting high school students. Several netizens immediately condemned Choo Young Woo, who was accused of being a pedophile.

The cellphone case was deemed inappropriate for an adult male. "I don't understand why people are defending him. How can a guy that age have a phone case with a picture of a high school girl and think it's normal?" commented one netizen on a Korean community forum.

"I'm not surprised anymore" said another netizen after seeing Choo Young Woo's cellphone casing. This isn't the first time Choo Young Woo has courted controversy, including accusations of lewdness.

Previously, on Friday (January 31, 2025), the star of the Korean drama "The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call" was caught following YouTube streamer KUBIN, who frequently creates content using clickbait and sexually suggestive titles.
