Disney+ has just released character photos for its latest original series, 'The Manipulated', featuring D.O (Doh Kyung Soo) as An Yohan, a mysterious criminal mastermind. 'The Manipulated' tells the story of Taejoong (Ji Chang Wook), an ordinary man who is suddenly caught up in a horrific crime and unjustly imprisoned.
He later learns that it was all orchestrated by Yohan, sparking a thrilling revenge mission. In this project, D.O plays a villain for the first time, marking a new transformation in his career. An Yohan is a ruthless figure who sculpts other people's lives like works of art.
As the leader of an exclusive security service for the elite 1%, he finds satisfaction in fabricating evidence to create a new culprit in every case. When Taejoong becomes a "failure" in his plans, Yohan devises a new scheme to eliminate him, sparking a fierce battle between the two.
The released character photos showcase a side of D.O that has never been seen before: cold, ruthless, and calculating. In a white room with CCTV cameras, Yohan is seen observing his targets, sparking curiosity about what other crimes he will commit.
To bring this character to life, D.O. opted for a short, sharp hairstyle and monochrome outfits, enhancing Yohan's charismatic, evil charm. D.O. shared, "This is my first time playing a villain. I put a lot of thought into how to portray Yohan with a strong, cold aura."
Director Park Shin Woo praised, “Yohan is the embodiment of pure evil. D.O’s clear eyes and innocent smile perfectly fit the vision of this character.” The series will premiere on Disney+ on November 5, 2025 with an initial four episodes, followed by two episodes each week, for a total of 12 episodes.
