The Korean drama 'Dynamite Kiss' has begun airing on SBS for South Korean viewers. The pilot episode, which aired on Wednesday night (November 12, 2025), received a fairly positive response from local viewers.
The Korean drama Dynamite Kiss tells the story of a single woman who fakes her married identity for work. At her workplace, she meets a team leader who develops a crush on her.
The woman, Go Da Rim (played by Ahn Eun Jin), has struggled to find work and has been constantly rejected. Until an opportunity finally presents itself, and she uses every means possible to secure a steady monthly income. But it doesn't come without consequences.
At work, she meets Gong Ji Hyuk ( Jang Ki Yong ), who never believed in love but has a crush on Go Da Rim. Their first meeting leaves a deep impression on Gong Ji Hyuk. The chemistry between Ahn Eun Jin and Jang Ki Yong is the highlight of this drama, directed by Kim Jae Hyun.
The episode received a decent rating of 4.5%, according to Nielsen Korea. The numbers are slightly lower than those of the pilot drama "Would You Marry Me," which also aired on SBS. This is likely due to the different broadcast times and days.
Dynamite Kiss airs midweek, every Wednesday and Thursday. Meanwhile, Would You Marry Me, starring Choi Woo Shik and Jung So Min, takes the weekend slot, every Friday and Saturday. But 4.5% isn't bad either.
They say that for K-dramas broadcast on free-to-air terrestrial channels like SBS, ratings above 3% are good, but anything below that is a flop. It's enough to be a good starting point and a good opening for this Korean drama going forward. You can watch Dynamite Kiss on Netflix.
