Gong Hyo Jin is gearing up for her drama comeback. After the total failure of "When the Stars Gossip" this year, she is confirmed to star in a new action drama in 2026 alongside actor Jung Joon Won.

Their new drama is titled A Bona Fide Killer (working title) and is scheduled to air on MBC in the first half of 2026. The series is an adaptation of a webtoon of the same name, telling the story of a mother who has the deadliest job in the world.
Like many people today, the main character struggles to find a balance between work and personal life. But will he be able to achieve it? Gong Hyo Jin plays Yu Bo Na, a mother who for years hid her profession from her husband and four-year-old daughter.
After getting married, she lives life as a housewife, but secretly also works as a hitman targeting criminals. When duty calls again, Yu Bo Na is determined to return to action—without sacrificing her family.
Meanwhile, Jung Joon Won will play Kwon Tae Seong, Yu Bo Na's husband who has a personal mission: to uncover his wife's secret. A Bona Fide Killer is directed by Yoon Jong Ho, who previously had success with the popular drama Lovely Runner.
