RM, or Kim Namjoon of South Korean boy group BTS, issued an apology in his latest post on the Weverse community. This apology relates to a conversation he had during a live broadcast a few days ago that sparked fan reaction.
Last week, RM held a live broadcast where he greeted fans and discussed BTS's plans to release an album next year. While preparations are underway, he admitted that there have been several situations that have made them question whether they should disband or end their activities.
"We thought a thousand times about whether it would be better to disband or end our activities. What keeps this team going is how much we love each other and the love we have for those watching this broadcast," RM said in a live broadcast.
He also mentioned that BTS would release a new album with seven members before their next world tour. Although he later discussed the new album, the talk of disbandment drew a negative response from fans.
On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, BTS's RM made a new post on Weverse and shared a photo of himself with fans. "I think I may have upset a lot of ARMYs with the live broadcast two days ago. I'm truly sorry," RM wrote.
"Now, I regret making the broadcast, but at the time, I was frustrated. I'm going to focus on making music, practicing choreography, thinking about content, and getting plenty of rest. I'm going to live like that," he continued. BTS plans to release their next album in 2026, which will mark their first new work in four years.
