Hyun Bin shared an in-depth look at how his mindset as an actor changed after becoming a father. He revealed this during an interview for his new drama 'Made in Korea'.
Having married Son Ye Jin in 2022 and now with a 4-year-old son, Hyun Bin admitted to a shift in his perspective on work. While he always wanted to develop as an actor, the arrival of his child provided a different emotional boost.
"I used to just want to be a good actor. But after having a child, a strong desire arose to be able to stand proudly in front of him and show that 'Dad is a great actor,'" he said sincerely.
Regarding his parenting style, Hyun Bin humorously replied that he can't be strict with his son yet. "I've never scolded him. I think he already senses that his father isn't an easy opponent just by instinct," he said with a laugh.
Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin's personal lives are often dubbed the entertainment industry's power couple . Recently, the two achieved double glory by winning the Best Actor and Actress awards simultaneously at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards.
Hyun Bin said that marriage and age have given his acting a certain depth. "All the new experiences and time I've spent on set have accumulated, so the audience might feel that my acting has deepened," he explained.
