Two Chinese women were arrested by the police after allegedly breaking into the dormitory of the popular South Korean boy group, Cortis in Yongsan District, Seoul, South Korea.
On Friday (July 24, 2026), the Yongsan Police Station announced they were investigating the two women on suspicion of entering a restricted area. According to Allkpop, Saturday (July 25, 2026), the incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. local time on Wednesday (July 23, 2026).
According to police, officers were dispatched to the location after a Cortis manager reported an opened package left in front of the dormitory. Furthermore, the front door of the apartment where Cortis personnel live was found slightly ajar.
The two women were then arrested at the scene. During initial questioning, the two women admitted to obtaining the Cortis dormitory address through social media.
However, they denied intentionally opening the package or entering the dormitory building. As of this writing, police were still investigating the chronology and alleged violations committed by the two women.
Last June 2026, Cortis' agency, BigHit Music, revealed that several individuals were suspected of illegally installing small GPS tracking devices on vehicles used by Cortis members during their schedule in Paris, France.
Not only that, several people are also suspected of renting vehicles and local drivers to continue following the group's movements, including when carrying out personal agendas that are not publicized.
BigHit Music also stated that a number of people who had previously been banned from attending fan events for violating fan ethics still committed inappropriate acts against the members of the group, which debuted in 2026. According to the agency, they were known to be waiting at the hotel where the members were staying.
Despite having seats in different sections of the flight, the individuals still moved closer to the Cortis members' seats. Big Hit Music stated that it had intervened and issued warnings to the parties involved.
In response to the series of incidents, BigHit Music confirmed that it will take firm legal action against perpetrators of stalking or other invasive actions targeting Cortis members, including the alleged installation of GPS tracking devices on their vehicles.
