Fourteen years after its release, "Gangnam Style" continues to break records. Most recently, Psy's music video became the first Asian artist music video in YouTube history to reach 6 billion views.

According to Soompi, "Gangnam Style" reached 6 billion views on July 17, 2026. As of Monday afternoon (July 20, 2026), the YouTube video uploaded to the officialpsy channel had been viewed 6,002,969,162 times.

So far, only six videos on YouTube have reached 6 billion views. Gangnam Style makes this elite list, ranking at #5. Other music videos on this list include Luis Fonsi's "Despacito" featuring Daddy Yankee.

The 2017 video has now been viewed over 9 billion times. Then there is also a video clip for the song See You Again, for the Furious 7 OST, which was released in 2015. This Wiz Khalifa MV featuring Charlie Puth has now been watched more than 7 billion times.

Since its release, Gangnam Style has been a sensation in the K-Pop scene. The song went viral even before the word "viral" was commonly used by netizens at the time. Psy's popularity in the United States grew thanks to this song.

He was invited to various major festivals there, expanding his popularity beyond South Korea. Psy remains active in music to this day. His summer concert, PSY Summer Swag 2026, is even highly anticipated in Korea.

PSY Summer Swag 2026 runs from June 27th to August. The concert is massive, with a total of 14 shows in nine major cities across South Korea. Last weekend, the concert took place at the Seoul Grand Park SummerSwag Stage.

On Friday, July 25, 2026, Psy will perform at the Wonju Sports Complex. Throughout August, he will tour World Cup stadiums in Suwon, Gwangju, Busan, and Daejeon.
