Disney+ has officially announced the arrival of a new original series titled Code, starring Nam Joo-hyuk. In this crime fantasy drama, Nam Joo-hyuk will play Yun Taejoo, an amoral lawyer at a prestigious law firm who will do anything to achieve success.

The series is directed by Yoo Su-min, who is known for his successful work on Weak Hero Class 2. Yun Taejoo is portrayed as an ambitious law firm executive.

The main conflict begins when Taejoo's career is on the line, and he receives a mysterious invitation to use a mobile app that promises to make all his wishes come true.

"When his career is on the line, Taejoo receives a mysterious invitation to try an app that promises to make all his wishes come true," wrote Disney+, as reported by Antara, on Thursday (July 23, 2026).

The storyline will focus on the dire consequences of using the app. While initially offering instant miracles, the app soon turns into a nightmare as it demands a steep reward or "price" for every wish granted.

Nam Joo-hyuk, who previously starred in Vigilante and The East Palace, will star opposite actress Lee E-dam. Lee will play Park Ji-dam, a public prosecutor known for her firm and ruthless approach to law enforcement.

The clash between the amoral lawyer and the idealistic prosecutor is expected to be a major draw in the series. In addition to the two main actors, veteran actors such as Kim Eui-sung and Park Hoon are also confirmed to join the project.

Code  is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Disney+ in 2027. Disney+ has not yet provided further details regarding a specific release date or global broadcast schedule for the series.
