BTS's RM recently became the target of body shaming after an old shirtless photo of him circulated on social media. The photo was originally posted by a Twitter user who compared RM's physique to Elon Musk, implying that the two have similar body shapes, but with a glaringly negative tone.

In the viral tweet, a user named TJ included a photo of RM at the gym and compared it to a photo of Elon Musk with the caption, "Why are they built the exact same." This tweet quickly caught the attention of netizens and became a topic of discussion on various social media platforms.

The tweet was then shared by the account @HateCrave, which added recent photos of RM and Elon Musk, further escalating the situation. Netizens then expressed a variety of very harsh reactions to RM's appearance, with some comments being highly critical and hurtful.

A user named Eren expressed his confusion, saying, " the way i can't tell which one is elon," suggesting it's difficult to differentiate between the two. Meanwhile, another comment from the account @jimoutofmelon highlighted Elon Musk's attitude towards women, adding, "and this is the same man that objectifies women's bodies btw."

This negative reaction demonstrates how easily netizens can judge someone's appearance, especially on social media. It also raises questions about socially accepted beauty standards and how this can impact the mental health of K-Pop idols, who are often the targets of harsh criticism.

Looking back at the shared photo, many fans expressed concern and condemned the body-shaming directed at RM. They emphasized that everyone's body shape is different and shouldn't be the subject of ridicule or demeaning comparisons.

This isn't the first time RM or other BTS members have been the target of body shaming. In the highly competitive K-pop industry, idols often struggle with the pressure of meeting high physical and appearance expectations.

Fans are expected to be more supportive than critical, given how challenging their lives are under the public spotlight. With this photo going viral, many BTS fans have called for an end to body shaming and expressed support for RM. They've emphasized the importance of self-love and accepting our bodies as they are.

This is a valuable lesson for everyone: true happiness comes from within, not from the judgment of others. In this situation, we hope that RM and the other BTS members receive the support they need to deal with these harmful comments.

Hopefully, society can learn to appreciate and respect each other more, regardless of physical appearance. In closing, let's all strive to be better at supporting those we love, including K-Pop idols who are often under immense pressure.
