South Korean Tech giant Samsung has launched its latest smartphone called the Galaxy F42 5G in the global markets. As for the highlights, the handset comes with a 6.60-inch touchscreen display, octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, packs a triple camera setup featuring a 64-megapixel primary camera, and supports proprietary fast charging.

The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G comes with a 6.60-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080x2408 pixels. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. It comes with 6GB of RAM. The smartphone supports proprietary fast charging.

The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G on the rear packs a triple camera setup featuring a 64-megapixel primary camera; a 5-megapixel camera, and a 2-megapixel camera. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It has a single front camera setup for selfies and video calls, featuring an 8-megapixel sensor. As for the OS/UI, the smartphone runs One UI 3.1 is based on Android 11 OS.

The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G packs 128GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 1000GB) with a dedicated slot. The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The smartphone measures 167.20 x 76.40 x 9.00mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 203.00 grams. 

Connectivity options on the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks). Sensors on the handset include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. It was launched in Matte Aqua and Matte Black colors.
